Ziggurat (Mesopotamian step pyramid). Height: 30 m. Date: c. 2040–2000 BCE (restored in the 6th century BCE).
Temple dedicated to the moon god Nanna. Only the foundations survive: the original height of about 30 m is an estimate. The lower facade and the staircase were rebuilt in the 1980s.
