Temple 16 (Copán)

Nine-level pyramid. Height: 30 m. Date: From about 426 CE to the final phase of 775–776 CE.
Funerary and cult monument dedicated to the founder Yax K'uk' Mo'. It rises about 100 feet (30 m) above the Great Plaza and 20 m above the West Court, and encloses the Rosalila temple, buried around 700 CE.
